Agile mindset - agile collaboration

Back to overview page

Working with agile methods has become all the rage lately. But what does working in an agile way really mean? What are agile methods, and can they be applied to the development of analytical and laboratory instruments? In our new Annual Report, we answer these questions and explore what we mean by agile collaboration.

Agile methods have traditionally been used in software development. Some industries have adopted these methods, and even in our business of instrument development, some aspects can make sense. Analytical devices must constantly adapt to new market needs and regulatory requirements. This means that requirements often change during the development of initial prototypes. The better an organization can manage this rapid pace of change, the better it can adapt its products to the current market and the more successful the devices will be.

So, should we move to using agile methods only? Not necessarily. For us, the most important aspect is to have an agile mindset. That means working with and for our customers in a way that works best for them. Will it be in an agile way? Or maybe the traditional V-model? Or maybe a hybrid approach? Whatever makes the most sense for the situation. We make it our mission to work with each client individually to find the best solution for them.
