Bike to work Challenge 2023

The bike to work Challenge 2023 has come to an end and of course HSE AG participated. Bike to work is an initiative that aims to strengthen the use of bicycles as an environmentally friendly, cheap and health-promoting means of transport and thus save CO2. The 2023 Challenge took place from May to June, with nearly 100,000 participants covering about 30 million km. In this way, 4,000 tons of CO2 were saved in these two months.

HSE AG did its part and was able to provide 24 participants, representing one third of all employees, as well as sponsoring jerseys. Our participants rode a total of 12,193 kilometers. In doing so, they saved 1756 kg of CO2. Eight of these participants rode to work every single day, achieving a 100% cycling rate. Among them Alessandro Ceccato, who rode the most days to work and thus made the first place in this category. The winner by kilometers was Matthias Trüb, with 1177 km. We are very proud of their achievements and congratulate both.

This year's bike to work challenge was great fun again and we are looking forward to our results in the next years.
