Harald Quintel
After working for QIAGEN since 2008, Harald Quintel joined HSE•AG in 2017 as Principal Scientist and Head of Infrastructure. At QIAGEN, he started off as a Senior Scientist, and then held the position of Scientific Associate Director, mainly working on innovation processes, technology consulting, system engineering and patent screening. Today, at HSE•AG, he continues to contribute with his expertise in these areas and is also the administrator of the HSE innovation team. Prior to this, Dr. Quintel was a Research Scientist Federal Institute of Metrology METAS, where he worked on the construction and operation of a water calorimeter as primary standard for the realization of the absorbed dose in water. Afterwards he worked for several companies as an independent technology consultant. Dr. Quintel initially studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Stuttgart, Germany and later gained a diploma in Experimental Physics from the University of Konstanz, Germany. In 1999, he earned his PhD in Climate and Environment Physics from the University of Bern, Switzerland.
